Doctor Johnson is originally from Martinsville, Indiana. With her dad being from Martinsville and mom from Mexico, she grew up in an English-Spanish speaking household and is proud to offer bilingual service.
After attending Martinsville High School, she went on to earn B.A. degrees in Biology and Spanish from Franklin College. She then attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry where she graduated in 2013 with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery and where she met her husband, Devin. Today they live in Greenwood with their kiddos, Mila and Xavier. They attend Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church in Greenwood. When they aren’t rushing kids to soccer, tumbling or dance classes, the Johnson-Shones enjoy traveling (especially to Mexico to visit family), watching movies, swimming, or any family activity. Recently, Dr. Johnson and her husband have taken up ballroom dance. Their favorite styles are rumba and tango.
Keeping current with the latest advances in dentistry is extremely important to Dr. Johnson. She regularly participates in continuing education courses and training. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, the Indiana District Dental Society, and the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics.
Dr. Johnson is passionate about patient education. She believes in educating her patients on the causes of dental conditions to empower them to make changes that can prevent future oral health problems.
